ABOUT DR. GRIECO
GOOD HEALTH BEGINS IN THE MOUTH
Dr. Derek Grieco has been in practice since 1993. Dr. Grieco is a 1992 graduate of the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he was very blessed to do a year residency program at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. He then entered an existing private practice in Murrysville Pennsylvania of which he has been fortunate enough to serve the community from for the past
21 years. He specialized in general dentistry for many years but in the last decade and a half Dr. Derek has been moving in a more holistic direction.
Dr. Grieco believes that good health begins in the mouth and treating illness begins with an assessment of the mouth. To that end Dr. Grieco has spent countless hours studying and learning to turn the practice in a more biological-holistic direction. In the late 1990’s a good friend who is a chiropractor encouraged Dr. Grieco to begin investigating biological dentistry and safe mercury removal. He turned to the IAOMT and Dr. Hal Huggins Alliance. Since that time biological dentistry has become Dr. Grieco’s life passion. He has received extensive training by Dr. Huggins and Dr. Blanche Grube in the Huggins/Grube safe mercury removal protocol and related modalities. Dr. Grieco has a real passion for his patient’s health and wellbeing and loves to assist each in achieving their wellness goals through biological dentistry. He is a member of the IABDM, the IAOMT and the Huggins Alliance. He is a member of the Weston Price Foundation and The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He is a member of D.O.C.S. For Sleep Dentistry. Several days a month Dr. Derek travels from his Pittsburgh office to the Centers for Healing East Coast clinic of Dr. Blanche Grube in Scranton Pennsylvania to preform dental revisions in that office.
Dr. Derek has been married for close to twenty years and has four teenage children. His hobbies include exercise and physical fitness and are mostly centered on his children’s sporting activities. He is a member of Donated Dental Services where he donates dental services to help the underprivileged, and he sponsors a child through Compassion International. Dr. Derek is President of Franklin Region Hockey Club and Assistant Coach of the Murrysville American Legion Baseball Team. He loves cooking with organic foods, organic gardening and juicing. Dr. Derek believes strongly in Biblical principles. His favorite scripture verse is Proverbs 23:7, As a man thinketh in his heart so he is.

Debbie Battistella CDA, EFDA, RDH
Donna has a long history with Dr. Grieco’s practice. She has been with Dr. Derek for more than 18 years, having been in dentistry more than 28 years. Donna wears many hats at Grieco Dentistry. She is the office manager, treatment coordinator and dental assistant. As a new patient Donna is the first person you will interact with at the practice. You will find Donna very friendly and easy to talk to. Donna works with patients coordinating their treatment plan, financial options and billing and
making sure the proper forms are filled out. In her spare time Donna enjoys spending time with her daughter, exercising and baking. Donna enjoys staying fit by going to the gym to work out.
Debbie is Dr. Grieco’s primary dental hygienist and she assists with the front desk. She has been with Grieco Dentistry for more than a decade and has developed a real passion for biological dentistry. Debbie has advanced training certifications as a Certified Dental Assistant, an Expanded Function Dental Assistant and a Registered Dental Hygienist. Debbie has been married for more than 28 years and has twin 24 year old boys. She enjoys arts and
